Omulu Capoeira Group is a nonprofit organization; 501(c)3 status. The Hayward chapter is one of many Omulu chapters that are commited to the continuance of the positive past and future traditions set forth by Mestre Preguiça and Mestre Aceituno. The classes offerred to youth and adults emphasize fitness, self defense, and self development through empowerment. 

Potential sponsers and supporters are encouraged to contribute to the effort in enriching the lives of youth through Capoeira no matter the demographics. Capoeira is not just an art form; it is a way of life and a tool that nurtures independant thinking required for survival. Contributions of past sponsers and supporters have proven to enhance the lives of past students. Future contributions will continue to enhance the lives of students to come. All donations, monetary or other, will be used solely for the purpose of enriching the lives of students (particularly youth) and empowering them even more. Please note that our classes are extremely successful in keeping the youth off the streets, away from drugs and gangs, and are a contributing factor to their increased academic learning and social development!

While technology advances and globalization forges ahead, it is crucial that our youth are prepared for what lies ahead economically as well as socially. Through fitness and self discipline, academic learning is enhanced as well as independant decision making; which ensures a secured path for future success.
